Last weekend I spent the weekend in Des Moines. After a very nice evening visiting my cousin Mark I spent Saturday at a workshop presented by the Drake University School of Education's Educational Leadership Team. The workshop was very informational and really opened my eyes on where to even start to apply for jobs.
It was very nice to see all of my professors again and they did a wonderful job of helping me update and add to my resume. My professors truly understand me and know how hard it is for me to talk about how great of a person I am. They sat down with me and helped me describe on paper my greatest attributes and the leadership skills I will bring to the school districts in which I apply.
The workshop was a great experience; it helped me get a great start in the long, grueling application process that is in my future. After the workshop I made the journey back home, where I continued editing my resume and cover letter. I have found a few openings in the papers and online for Administration positions in the past few days. So this past week I have spent the little free time I have editing my resume and cover letters in hope of sending them out to potential school districts soon! I guess time will only tell where I will find myself in the future.
